<p>A three-day celebration and a fusion of two cultures, with the sangeet at The Loft at Five Gables and the ceremony and reception at The Vineyard Hall at Howe Farms. Colour everywhere, and a send-off worth staying up for.</p>

<p>A summery, pastel-filled white chapel wedding in beautiful East Tennessee. Soft blue bridesmaids, garden roses along the chapel front, and the last of the light just as the two of them walked back up.</p>

<p>Window light, a slow morning and a room full of people trying very hard to stay calm. Danielle got ready in near silence, and the frames from that hour are still some of my favourites.</p>

<p>Jenny and Eric came to me for their engagement session first, then bridal portraits, then the wedding itself. By the wedding day we already knew how the three of us worked together, which is exactly the point of doing this part early.</p>

<p>You only get to call each other fiance for a short while, and an engagement session is a sweet way to hold onto it. Mostly prompts rather than poses, and a lot of walking.</p>

<p>My friend Halea asked me to photograph her family, which is a nerve-wracking and very lovely thing when the person asking is a photographer herself. A cloudy March day turned out to be perfect for it, and you can feel how much these three like each other.</p>

<p>Family sessions run 30 minutes to an hour and a half depending on how much ground we want to cover.</p>

The Gibby Family

<p>Lindsay asked whether I could photograph her and her sister with their horses, and it was an immediate yes. The two of them grew up with these horses, and the horses are getting older, so this was a session they wanted to be able to look back on.</p>

The Collis Sisters

<p>Graduating nursing school is a big deal, and Taylor chose to mark it with two sessions: a casual one with a few outfit changes somewhere scenic, and a cap and gown session on campus later on.</p>

<p>This one was extra special to me. Kendra and Caleb were some of my first-ever wedding clients, back in 2017 when this was still a hobby. Getting a front-row seat as their family grows is one of the best parts of doing this for as long as I have.</p>

<p>Sweet sixteens deserve to be photographed too. I have known Daisy since she was a toddler, so I may have got a little emotional editing these and realising she is almost grown. The downtown location was entirely her idea, and it was the right one.</p>

<p>Baby announcement sessions are some of my favourites. Jen and Austin prayed for this one for a long while, and they chose to shoot it in the spot where they got engaged, so the whole thing came full circle in one afternoon.</p>
